Traveller’s Green Phase 2 aims to be an exemplary modern neighbourhood offering a range of bright, cheerful and dignified affordable-rent homes and a garden-themed quality of life.

​

The mix of 47 new-build homes is based on local housing need and includes starter, family, and bungalow homes for affordable rent on a 1.3 hectare brownfield site in County Durham.

​

The new homes replace pre-fabricated, post-WW2 bungalows reaching the end of their serviceable life, offering significant improvements in thermal efficiency, spaciousness and convenience.

 

The site layout provides a variety of landscape-themed character areas as place-making.
